The view you cannot get from a boat

Aerial survey used to mean chartering a pilot, or knowing someone who did. Now it is a scoping call and a scheduled flight.

Some things about a lake are only legible from above. The extent of a weed bed, the shape of a bloom, the change in a shoreline across seasons. This aisle covers the ground a boat cannot — shallow bays, private frontage, whole-lake extent in a single pass — and turns it into a time-stamped record you can compare against next year.
